The Centre closely tracks and classifies environment-related news and feature items reported in the print media. This information, which is available for reference in the WWF- India Library, is extensively used by media professionals and researchers for background information on important current and emerging environmental issues.

The Centre receives considerable support from the WWF- India Communications Division in this focus area. The information provided includes suggestions on topics or themes, expertise on specific issues available in India and overseas, government departments and agencies responsible for policy and decision making, individuals and NGO's whose work includes the specific subject area of interest, access to relevant visual material, etc.

Media Clippings have been classified according to the Centre’s subject list of 18 different categories.

The Centre had, till recently, been preparing a Trend and Analysis Report on Environment in the Print Media. This report contains detailed analysis of the significant environment-related news brought up in the print media on a quarterly basis.
