  1. Preparation of newsletter – Quarterly basis

These newsletters comprise of some of the major news related to environment and environmental NGOs and their activities, which have occurred during the months of January to December, it also entails case studies and the major events related to environment. Besides this information it also includes an article and a section called ‘Graphical Gallery’ highlighting some of the selective graphical and statistical representation focusing on the following topics:

Ø  Environmental NGOs functioning in India – State-wise

Ø  Environment Trends in the Print Media

Ø  Trends of the Environment related questions and answers discussed in the Indian Parliament

 

 

  1. Compilation of a report on ‘Graphical and Statistical Representation – Questions and Answers related to Environment discussed in the Indian Parliament – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – 2000-2004

 

This report primarily focuses on the major environment related news highlighting various prominent issues generating environmental concerns and awareness among the general public and experts working in this field. It accentuates the need and the role; the print media plays to create awareness by disseminating information on environment and its protection.

 

 

  1. NGO directory – 2004 (Eighth Edition)

 

It contains information on addresses, telephone numbers and other contact details of various NGOs working in the field of environment operating in various parts of India.

 

  1. Revamping of the Questionnaires prepared to collect necessary information on the following Areas

 

Ø  NGOs working in the file of Environment

Ø  Research Project Activities on Environemnt

Ø  Audio Visual on the Environment

Ø  Expertise in the Environmental Sciences

 

  • (2500 questionnaires (each) were compiled and printed which has already been dispatched to the concern organizations and experts.

 

5.      Environment in the Indian Parliament: An Analysis (Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha -2005) Budget & Monsoon Session

 

This is a comprehensive report which studies the important environment related questions and answers addressed in the Lok Sabha – 2005 and highlighting the major concerns raised by the various ministries to find out the possible solutions for various environment related problems and to get an in-depth information of the aforementioned.

 

6.            Website Updation

 

The website is a completed package in itself providing with all the important information generated and compiled in an organized format by the ENVIS Centre-07. It is regularly updated and revamped. Databases related to NGOs, Parliament and Media are designed and developed constantly to be uploaded in the ENVIS website.

 

It allows the intended users to accomplish their tasks and get the required information in the best way possible. Websites makes it easy to learn, easy to use, easy to remember, fast, error tolerant, and subjectively pleasing for the user. It is interactive and can create a further connectivity among various users (specially environment related). Various environmental organizations and experts working in this field can also upload relevant information by directly logging in our website.

 

7.            Environment in the Print Media: An Analysis – Quarterly basis

This report primarily focuses on the major environment related news highlighting various prominent issues generating environmental concerns and awareness among the general public and experts working in this field. It also brings to notice the activities of various NGOs working in the field of environment both national and international. It accentuates the need and the role; the print media plays to create awareness by disseminating information on environment and its protection. This analysis report prepared by ENVIS Centre-07 is compiled in an electronic format on a quarterly basis. This report is being compiled and updated regularly.
